CPO Hembrug Bunkers - Ammunition warehouses in the Sector Park Zaandam

Hembrug Bunkers consists of an ensemble of four nationally listed ammunition warehouses and sheds that are being transformed from military heritage into residential and working homes, ateliers and a bakery on the former military site Sector Park Zaandam. The closed buildings are literally 'opened' so that living and working spaces have a view of the green environment around the buildings. Interventions in the monumental base of the ensemble are done in the same language, on top of the bunkers some roof extensions for extra light and space are in contrast with the monumental base and the expression of the different families is expressed.
